Hair Care

  1. Frequently brush your hair - ideally once thoroughly before washing your hair and once before going to remove any naturally occurring tangles
  2. Avoid brushing your hair when it is wet - because that is when hair follicles are most fragile
  3. Use Organic products – It is highly recommended to use sulphate free shampoo because sulphate removes natural oils from your hair and dries it up. Sulphate use leads to a constrained supply of nutrients from your scalp into the extension strands
  4. Only wash with warm water - To avoid damage to extensions, the cuticles and your scalp
  5. Use palms to gently wash hair in a downward motion (away from hairline) – do not scrub or bunch the hair together as this will cause open cuticles to rub against each other causing friction and heat.
  6. Rinse your hair with water between each wash
  7. Add 2-3 drops of almond/natural oil when your hair is wet - Gently applying these oils throughout the hair will add great moisture to hair extensions.
  8. Use Natural oils as opposed to conditioners – Natural oils usually provide the same effect as most conditioners without the harm of the chemicals found in conditioners. Natures gift!
  1. Rinse your hair (outer layer not scalp) with cold water by changing the direction of your shower head - this is called the Arctic Rinse - it will cause the cuticles to close keeping all the nutrients and moisture from the oil in the hair, leaving you with beautiful, nutrient-rich hair extensions.
  2. Take your time with your hair – Naturally wash and air-dry your hair at home hair – Avoid using heat such as from a straightener or blow dryer unless necessary as this will swell and dry your strands.
  3. Apply a small amount (few drops) of Argan, Almond or Coconut oil 2/3 times a week/or when necessary - Argan oil is an ideal finishing oil for styling and managing frizz but it does not moisture the hair as well as coconut or almond oil does. Use the oils interchangeably depending on your hair and the environment.
  4. Moisturise and care for your natural hair and extensions as you do your skin to yield best results.
